Italy has been something out of a dream! We landed in Napoli (Naples) on the 6th. We spent several days walking around and taking in a new culture; as well as the gelato ;)! the first day we had free time to explore, I and a few of my teammates decided to grab pizza in a back alley restaurant. We also walked around downtown and discovered a castle and fountain that were lit up during the night.

Our next day was by far my favorite day thus far on the trip. Why? Because we went to the Amalfi Coast! If you have the opportunity to go, I would highly recommend it.

To get to it, we had to drive around an hour and a half down winding roads and through cities that were built into the side of the mountains. Once we reached the bottom, we had the opportunity to go swimming, and of course, I took it. Once out in the water, I turned and looked at the coast and saw the most beautiful view. The coast had shopping centers but when you looked up at the mountain you saw all of the beautiful houses, churches, and hotels. I cannot describe the beauty of it, other than it was breathtaking.

After our trip to the coast, we came back to the hotel and had free time the rest of the day. Me, my mom, and several teammates took the opportunity to go to the pier and try out the seafood that Naples is known for. After a night out on the town, and several pictures later, we turned in for the night.

Today was game day and our last day in Napoli. We packed up this morning and took the bus to Rome where we visited Pompeii. We toured the ruins of Pompeii before traveling into the heart of Rome where our hotel is located.

After getting some rest, we went to our game, where we won!

Tomorrow we will be touring the Roman Coliseum and will be walking around the city. I can't wait to take pictures and share them on here with you all!

Check back in soon to see where we travel to next!
