I have always lived in a crowded city. I was raised in Mason, OH, 30 minutes up the road from Cincinnati.

I went to the largest public high school in Ohio, with around 4,000 kids and graduated with almost 1,000 in my class. So you could say that I'm used to being around many people. I think this is why New York appeals to me so much.

I took a trip to the big apple for my 16th birthday. It is one of the dirtiest, but most beautiful cities you could ever go to. I visited Times Square, Madison Square Garden- which has my favorite pizza place- and Broadway. Everywhere I looked I saw thousands of people just going on about their day. And there is just something about being around so many people with their own life story that seems to draw me in.

People always say that New York is too crowded and you'll have to live with a roommate. But growing up around so many people makes it hard to want to live in a small community. The city is where I feel the most comfortable and after taking those trips, New York seems like the perfect place for me.

I hope that through basketball I am able to live in the city I have dreamed about being in.

Only time will tell, but for now, I'll keep that Empire State of mind.
